Hello

Happy Saturday, friends! I'm so glad you joined me today for my Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge reveal! Today we celebrate round cards with this sketch -
I used my nesties to cut out two scalloped circles and scored one to make a hinge on the back. I prefer this method over cutting a piece of folded card stock because I like the scallops to go all the way 'round. And, to celebrate the tiny bit of spring that is in the air, I chose these delightful papers from Cosmo Cricket and a pale pink ribbon.

I decided to make my own embellishments this week and tried, for the first time, these rolled roses. I quite like how they turned out even though they stick out quite a bit from the card. I ended up cutting the bottom off so it would sit a bit closer. If you look very closely, you may be able to see the tiny pink pearls I nested in the center. This is not my original technique but I can't recall where I saw this done in my blog wanderings - many apologies to whoever inspired me!

Supplies: Stamps - Fancy Phrases (WMS), DP - Honey Pie Collection (Cosmo Cricket), Ribbon (MemrieMere/Etsy), Card Stock - Pixie Pink (SU!) Select White (PTI), Cuttlebug, Spellbinders, Foam Squares, Ink - Pixie Pink (SU!), Pearls (Recollections)
