Love - Waltzingmouse DT Blog Hop!

Hello friends!  For those of you who may not know, the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge closed its doors at the end of last year and the Mischief Makers have been added to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team!  I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful team and to continue to work with Claire and her amazing stamps is such an honor!  Thank you!!  :)

Today is a special Waltzingmouse DT Blog Waltz and the DT has been asked to make a project using their favorite stamp set.  It was an easy ask for me because I've been using the heck out of "My Heart" since I got it a couple of months ago!  It is perfect for cards for my hubby and is so versatile, I know you would love it, too!

I started off with a brown card base and topped it with a piece of cork.  I took the leaf image and stamped it in white ink on the four sides of the cork and then added some gunmetal pearls to the corners.  I stamped the little heart from the set onto the cork in red and then stamped and pieced the open heart and popped it off of the card using some foam squares.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I'm so excited you're here to begin this exciting new journey with me and Waltzingmouse!  Here is the rest of the DT and I can't wait to see their projects, too!

The Craft's Meow - New Release Blog Hop!

This is my second post of the day.  If you're looking for my post for The Play Date Cafe, please scroll down.  :)

Hello friends and welcome to the new release blog hop with The Craft's Meow!  If you're here from Jennie's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head over to the TCM blog to get started!  Today all of the sets are for sale with the exception of "Soaring High" which is the gift with purchase this month.
I just love how well Soaring High and Rejoice go together and thought they'd be perfect for this project.  I wanted a bit of a gradient look for the eagles so I stamped them each in a pale shade and stamped the sentiment in gray.  I added a few silver sequins to the arch embellishment and some baker's twine for the finishing touches.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I'm happy to say that one lucky reader will be eligible to win all 5 new sets from TCM!  The winner will be drawn from comments on one of the blogs along the hop and the deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Wednesday, Feb 23rd.

Next up is Jessica with more crafty inspiration!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), Cardstock - Select White (PTI), Ink - Going Gray, Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Blush Blossom (SU!), Sequins (Cartwrights), Twine (MME)

Hola - PDCC 170

Hello friends (or should I say hola?) :)  Today is the big day for a new reveal with The Play Date Cafe! This week we're sponsored by The Twinery and you should be seeing fabby twine on my project but the US Postal Service decided it didn't want to play along...  :(

Anyway, check out this amazing color story this week!  I am always so inspired by these gorgeous colors and photos and hope you are, too!
Without the twine, I decided to go with some patterned papers that had the three colors in them (the blue is deeper than it photographed - I still haven't figured out the best lighting in my new studio...)  I used some papers and some alphas from my new Studio Calico kit and for some reason, "hola" was stuck in my head when I made the card so I went with that!

Thanks so much for visiting today and I can't wait to see what you create!  Link up by Tuesday for a chance at a fabby prize from The Twinery!

The Craft's Meow - Day 4 Previews!

Hello friends and welcome to the last day of previews of the February release at The Craft's Meow!  Tomorrow we'll be celebrating with a blog hop and all of the sets will be available for purchase (except for "Soaring High" which will be the gift with $50 purchase this month) - how exciting!  Today we are showcasing "Soaring High" by Nina B Designs and "Rejoice" by Kaitlyn Ord Long.  Both sets are wonderful by themselves and work fabulously together!
For my first project, I layered a couple of patterned papers together and covered the seam with a coordinating zig-zag sticker.  I stamped the sentiment from "Soaring High" on the upper half and then stamped two of the eagles from the set in plum ink and cut them out.  I adhered them to the card and finished the card with a chipboard cloud and some coordinating brads.
For my second card, I stamped the rejoice sentiment from "Rejoice" onto a journaling card and covered it with a coordinating transparency.  I punched three holes in the set and added some coordinating brads.  I finished the card with some baker's twine.

Thanks so much for visiting today and don't forget to leave a comment back on the TCM blog for a chance to win one of these sets!

For my project, I started off with a piece of patterned paper - I am loving aqua and yellow together these days! - and then added a piece of wide, gradient piece of washi tape.  I stamped the card and the tape with sentiments and then masked the upper sentiment and then stamped the arrows in two different blue inks pointing to the lower sentiment.

The Craft's Meow - Day 2 Previews!

Hello friends and welcome to day two of the new release festivities at The Craft's Meow!  Today the DT is showcasing a wonderful Easter set, "Easter Blessings" designed by Karen Baker!
For this card, I wanted a spring feel and started off with some lovely patterned paper and a journaling card/transparency that I thought were perfectly colored.  I just love that apricot on those little roses!  I stamped the journaling card with one of the sentiments from the set and layered the transparency over the top using some vellum adhesive that can't be seen.  I stamped the little lamb in some apricot ink, cut him out, and layered him over some similarly colored baker's twine.

Thanks so much for visiting today and don't forget to leave a comment back on the TCM blog for a chance to win this set!

The Craft's Meow - Day 1 Previews!

Hello friends, and welcome to the first of 5 days of new release festivities with The Craft's Meow!  Today the DT is showcasing a new add-on set for the "Shelf" series, "Baby Shelf" by Nina B Designs!
For my project, I chose to make a tag for a baby gift and started with a large shipping tag that I covered with some harlequin patterned paper.  I stamped the large sentiment on the bottom and the small, "for baby" on the top.  I stamped the little bear from the set onto a coordinating patterned paper and cut him out.  I layered the little bear on top of the tag using foam squares for dimension.  I finished the tag with a little ducky brad and some baker's twine.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to leave a comment back on the TCM blog for a chance to win this set for yourself!

Sending Oodles of Love - PDCC 169

Hello friends, today I'm excited to share a project with you that I made for the brand, spanking new challenge over at The Play Date Cafe! Check out this wonderful new color story - doesn't it make you feel like spring is in the air?
For my project, I started off with some patterned papers that matched the colors this week, stamped a label and a sentiment in gray, die cut the labels and finished the card with some twine and a layered sticker.  I like the balloon with the sentiment, picturing it heading off to deliver a wonderful love letter to someone far away.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week - these are such fun colors and an interesting combo!  I can't wait to see what you do with them!  Link up by Tuesday for a chance to win a wonderful prize from our sponsor, Simon Says Stamp!

Supplies:  Stamps (WMS), DP/Sticker - What's Up collection (Basic Grey), Cardstock/Ink - Going Gray (SU!), Twine (The Twinery), Dies (Spellbinders)

I've been having some fun playing with CAS lately so I thought I'd give it a try with this card.  I stamped the heart from Lark Additions three times onto the from of a white card base and added the sentiment from Valentine Wishes to the bottom.  I punched the bottom edge of the card and layered some washi tape on the inside of the card to add a bit of decorative trim.

For my final project, I started with a kraft tag and layered some pink dotty paper and a sticker strip.  I stamped the sentiment at the bottom and some little hearts on the background.  I then stamped and pieced this adorable little cherub and finished her wings and socks with some Stickles.  I finished the tag with some coordinating ribbon and a little paper clip.

Love

Hello friends!  Today is day 6 of our 7 Days of Valentine Projects blog event and I've loved all of the Valentine inspiration!  I hope you've been enjoying this little tour as much as I have been!

I made this project using supplies from the Old School kit from Paper Made Bakery.  I layered some vintage camera dp over a white card base to start out and added an element card that spells out LOVE and some paper flowers from the kit that I fastened together using a red brad.  I finshed the card by punching some butterflies from a sheet of thin cork and added some twine.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a chance to swing by my fellow bloggers participating in this wonderful blog event -
