Love You

Happy Saturday, friends! Today I have a fun card to share with you for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge based on this wonderful sketch by Mischief Maker Kelly - Isn't this a cute little pocket?? I couldn't figure out how to pocket this heart tag but can't wait to see the adorable little pockets you come up with!

I started the card with a couple of layers of patterned papers and covered the seam with some floral washi tape and tied it up with some twine. I stamped the heart and sentiment from Seasons of Love and finished it with a chocolate ribbon.

Don't forget to link up by next Friday for a chance to be Top Mouse and to win a set of Waltzingmouse Stamps! Thanks for visiting!

Deco Botanicals

Happy Tuesday, friends! It's Rubbernecker Stamps day on the blog and you can even head over to the Rubbernecker Blog for our new Tuesdays With the Team feature and some more great inspiration!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the wonderful, floral medallion stamp which I'm also entering in the new botanicals challenge over at the Moxie Fab blog. I love all things in the arts and crafts or art deco style and this stamp just spoke to me! I stamped the image in chocolate ink on a sheet of cardboard (recycled some packaging materials), colored it with some Copic Markers, and then inked the edges with some cream craft ink. I mounted the panel on a chocolate card base and finished the card with a shabby ribbon.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps (RN), Cardstock - Chocolate Chip (SU!), Ink - Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla (Craft) (SU!), Copic Markers, Distrezz it All, Ribbon (Memriemare)

Wish

This is my second post for today. If you're looking for my Kraft Journal reveal, please scroll down. :)
Today I'm happy to share a card I made for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. This month we were challenged to come up with a project based on this photo - I decided to use the colors from the photo to make a cheery birthday card using the very first PTI stamp set I ever bought - Piece of Cake. I used the floral images to stamp a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock and then embossed them with white embossing powder so they'd pop a bit more and then added rhinestones to the centers of the largest flowers. I tied a white ribbon around the panel and then tied a little tag with a "Wish" sentiment to the bow using orange and white baker's twine. I finished the card with a die cut I found that matched perfectly.

I can't wait to see what lovely creations are out there today!

Supplies: Stamps - Piece of Cake (PTI), Cardstock - Aqua Mist, Terracotta Tile, Select White (PTI), Ink - Very Vanilla, Dusty Durango (SU!), Embossing Powder (SU!), Rhinestones (Recollections), Cupcake Die Cut (K&Co), Ribbon (Crafta), Baker's Twine (Divine Twine)

Ho Ho Ho

Hi friends - it's Make it Monday with The Kraft Journal and I sure hope you have a chance to play along with us! This week the challenge is Christmas in July and I made this fun card with goodies from The Kraft Outlet and some cute Waltzingmouse Stamps!

I used a kraft card base with a layer of plaid paper, stamped a hang tag with some gold stamped snowflakes and a "ho ho ho" sentiment and adhered it to the card using foam squares. I then added a couple of Tim Holtz Salvage Stickers (isn't the calendar sticker with the big "25" cute?) and some stamped holly glittered up with some Stickles for some added sparkle.

Head over to the blog to play along and don't forget to link up by next Sunday for a chance to make our Top Three and win some goodies!

Supplies: Kraft Cardstock, Hang Tag, Salvage Stickers (TKO), DP - Jovial Collection (Basic Gray), Stamps - Very Vintage Christmas (WMS), Ink - Gold (Encore), Riding Hood Red, Basic Black (SU!), Cardstock - Forest Foliage (SU!), Stickles, Corner Chomper, Foam Squares

A Lifetime of Happiness

Two posts in one day, I told you I've been busy! :) I made this card for my sister to give to one of her friends for their wedding and will be making a matching tag later this week. This card was based on the Week 4 VLV sketch and the colors in that wonderful Tuesday Trigger photo at Moxie Fab world.

It's dinner time so I'll keep it short this time! Have a wonderful end to your weekend and we'll chat soon!

Supplies: Stamps - Love Story (Verve), DP - Lemon Flower Collection (DCWV), Ribbon (Kate's Paperie), Cardstock - Select White (PTI), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Dies - Labels 14, Heart (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug, Scallop Punch (SU!)

Believe

Happy Sunday, friends! I've got a lot of new projects to show you this week (I had a very crafty day yesterday!) and will start with this one that I made for the 200th Mojo Monday sketch! If you're ever in a rut, Mojo Monday is a perfect way to get inspired! I love this sketch and for some reason, I'm still on my brights kick lately... :)
I started off knowing I wanted to use my Verve Believe set and stamped the chrysanthemums onto some pink felt but I smudged the ink a bit (I even used StazOn!) when I was cutting them out. Instead of scrapping them, I flipped them over to see if they were still usable and I really liked how they stacked even without the flower markings. I found some matching pink cardstock (the pinks match up better in person than they seem to do in this photo), layered some cute October Afternoon papers and some tickets and finished the card with a great sentiment.

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend! I sure did!

Supplies: Stamps - Believe (Verve), DP - Thrift Store Collection (OA), Paper Embellishments - 5&Dime Miscellany (OA), Cardstock - Pixie Pink, Very Vanilla (SU!), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI), vintage button, foam squares, Distrezz it All, Felt (PTI)

You're My Star

Hello friends! Today I've got the card I made for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge based on this wonderful sketch by DT member, Julia -
The minute I saw this sketch, those little rectangles at the bottom reminded me of tickets so I die cut a few and then remembered I had the great, movie-themed Curtain Call papers and the card just kind of came together (don't you love it when that happens?!) I layered two coordinating papers together, stamped the tickets with images from the Rescue Remedies set and a sentiment from Seasons of Love - Tags, and popped those off with some foam squares. I finished the card with a glitter star and some film strip ribbon.

Link up your creations by next Friday for a chance to win some WMS or to be named Top Mouse! It's fun!

Supplies: Stamps - Rescue Remedies, Seasons of Love - Tags (WMS), DP - Curtain Call Collection (G45), Ticket Die (PTI), Cuttlebug, Cardstock - Lunchbag Kraft (TKO), Vintage Cream (PTI), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Star (Memriemare), Filmstrip Ribbon (Tim Holtz)

Little Miss Sunshine

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for two Verve challenges - Viva la Verve (week 3) and this month's Diva Dare! The thing that used to terrify me about Verve sketches was all of the layers but I've honestly come to love it because they give me the perfect opportunity to use lots of papers and lots of goodies from the fabulous kits I've spent so much money buying and so much space hoarding! :) And, when I saw the theme for the Dare (Sentimental About Paper), I knew exactly what I would do!

Now I have a lot of paper and I've had a few sheets from the Webster's Pages Trendsetter that I was given a while back that are a little too bright for my usual style. Well, I've been looking at brights lately and pulled them out along with this bright pink trim and came up with this card! I used one of the botanical stamps from Because of You that I stamped off once for the center circle and added a sentiment from Let it Shine. I finished the card with a row of Bloomers and a butterfly with a touch of glitter.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Because of You, Let it Shine (Verve), DP/Ribbon - Trendsetter Collection (Webster's Pages), Cardstock - Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black (SU!), Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black (SU!), Cuttlebug, Dies (Spellbinders), Glitter (Martha Stewart)

Beautiful Wishes

Hello friends! I know you've been used to seeing my Rubbernecker Stamps DT posts on Wednesdays but I'm shifting them to Tuesdays along with the "Tuesdays With the Team" feature on the Rubbernecker blog. If you haven't been to the blog lately, check it out! There are new posts just about every day and lots of wonderful inspiration!

I chose to make this card using the color palette for this week's CR84FN challenge! I love the pinks with the yellows and immediately thought of my fabulous new daisy stamp. I layered pink cardstock with a pretty patterned paper, added a pale yellow deckle oval, and then stamped the daisies onto white cardstock and colored the centers with a Copic marker. I fussy cut all around the daisies and mounted them onto the oval using foam squares to give them a bit of dimension. I finished the bouquet with a little, pink baker's twine bow and added the beautiful wishes sentiment to the bottom of the card, stamped directly onto the patterned paper.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Beautiful Wishes, Daisies (RN), Cardstock - Pixie Pink, Barely Banana (SU!), DP (DCWV), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Copic Markers, Cuttlebug, Dies (Spellbinders), Corner Chomper, Twine (Divine Twine)

Happily Ever After

Is it really the start of another week? Well, if it is Monday, it is time for another challenge over at The Kraft Journal! This week, we're challenging you to come up with a project theme of "My Favorite Things" and use kraft cardstock or products from The Kraft Outlet in your creations! You have until next Sunday evening to link up for a chance at some wonderful prizes!

Today I'm sharing a project that I made using the Lunch Bag Kraft CD Sleeve and other goodies from The Kraft Outlet. One of my favorite things ever was my wedding day and this project was inspired by our wedding invitations. It just so happens that my husband and I chose letterpressed CD sleeve invitations for our wedding that folded like a book and included a DVD of photos and movies of our courtship set to our favorite music. Don't you think that would make a cute anniversary gift, too?

I stamped and embossed both the front and back of the CD sleeve with anniversary-themed images, and stamped the CD with a "happily ever after" message.
While I was working on this project and we were reminiscing about these invitations, my hubby and I laughed at how "me, me, me" it seemed but we really loved the idea of sharing so much of ourselves with our family and friends. Here we are cuting our cake...And this is a photo of my inspiration for this week's project...Thanks for visiting and I hope you come play along with us at The Kraft Journal this week!

Supplies: Stamps - Cameo To Go, Vintage Labels 5, Eat Cake, Vintage Lables 10 (WMS), Kraft CD Sleeve, Distress Inks (TKO), Embossing Powders (SU!, American Crafts), Pearls (Hero Arts)

Eat Cake

Happy waltz day, friends! Every 17th of the month, all of the fans of Waltzingmouse Stamps get together for a blog waltz to share inspiration and have some fun! The theme of this month's waltz is birthdays! If you just popped by, head over to the Waltzingmouse Forum to get started. And, if you aren't yet a member, why don't you join us? There's lots of fun chat about all things crafting (and Ireland!) :)
I have to say this card is a bit of a departure from my usual style - I actually cracked open my dusty Stampin' Up! Brights! I don't think I've ever used this many bright ink pads on one card before and it was a lot of fun!

I stamped the small cake image from Eat Cake in a number of different colors, added black cake stands and black flowers for contrast, and added tiny gold rhinestones to the centers of all of the flowers. I tied some black and white baker's twine around the panel and tied a tag I stamped with a sentiment from the set to it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see all of you here again next month! Off for some waltzing myself!

Supplies: Stamps - Eat Cake (WMS), Cardstock - Pixie Pink, Whisper White (SU!), Ink - Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Garden Green, YoYo Yellow, Basic Black (SU!), Rhinestones (Crafta), Twine (Divine Twine), Tag (my stash), Corner Chomper, Foam Squares

Nautical Birthday

Happy Saturday, friends!! Today I've got a card to share with you that I made for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and a fabulous sketch by WMS DT member, Julia Aston -
I'm still in a summery mood (a bit of sun does that to a person) so decided to keep my Yacht Club papers handy and made this nautical-themed birthday card. The star ribbon is the left panel from the sketch and I did move the three buttons to the bottom of the card. This collection has some of the cutest little embellishments, including these fun chipboard buttons! I stamped the label and sentiment on to some confetti cardstock and popped it off of the card. As a summer baby myself, this card really speaks to the season!

If you've never played along, all you need is one Waltzingmouse image on your submission and there are a lot of digital freebies Claire has provided available in the store if you don't have any stamps. C'mon, it's fun and there are prizes to be had! Join up by next Friday for a chance to win a WMS set of your very own!

Supplies: Stamps - Holiday Labels 14, Say it Loud (WMS), DP/Embellishments - Yacht Club Collection (Webster's Pages), Cardstock - Night of Navy, Confetti (SU!), Ink - Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red (SU!), Foam Squares

Theatre de l'Opera

Hello friends! Today I have a card to share that I made for the stamping challenge over at the Moxie Fab blog using my Rubbernecker Stamps!

I just love all of the floral flourishes (say that fast three times!) available from Rubbernecker and created my background using three separate stamps (30-15, 30-12, and 30-30.) I stamped each in Very Vanilla craft ink on dark brown cardstock then stamped the large stamp from the Opera set, cut it out and distressed the edges, then adhered it to the card using foam squares. I finished the card with some rhinestones for added sparkle.

Supplies: Stamps - Flourishes, Opera Set (RN), Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Ink - Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake (SU!), Rhinestones (Taylored Expressions)

Wedding Wishes (and a Winner!)

Today I'm so excited to share my first card with you as part of the Kraft Outlet design team! This week our challenge to you is "something borrowed or something blue." I don't know about you but I always think of weddings when I see that phrase and so I made this wedding card using light kraft cardstock as the base for these coordinated papers and chipboard sticker. I stamped and cut out the banner and popped it off of the card using foam squares. I stamped the doves onto glitter paper, cut and popped them up, too.

Please join us this week - the requirements are pretty simple to create a project with this week's theme using kraft cardstock or products from Kraft Outlet. Enter your project here by 6pm (ET) next Sunday and you'll have a chance to win some great prizes! I can't wait to see what you create!

And, I can't let you go without announcing the random.org winner from my birthday post last week who is Lynn! Just pop me an email at jencuthbertson (at) gmail (dot) com with your address and I'll get your goodies in the mail right away! Thanks to everyone for your wonderful birthday greetings! It was a wonderful day!!

VLV Weeks 1 and 2

Happy Sunday, friends! Today I've got two cards to show you that I made for the first two Viva la Verve challenges. Can you believe that last month I finished all 5 but forgot to post my links to the champions thread so wasn't eligible to win?! I sure hope I don't do that again!!

My hubby has a special day on Tuesday and I made both of these cards for him. For some reason, we have a tradition at our house to give each other multiple cards for special occasions and I couldn't not do it this time! :) This first card (week 1) was made using elements from the Rocket Age collection along with Verve's "To the Moon" stamp set. Instead of four squares, I used one square (the frame) along with three coordinating cardstock stickers circling the moon sticker.
For this second card (week 2), I used the Campy Trails collection from American Crafts and the Philippians 4:13 Plain Jane. I love how many elements I could use because of the fun sketch and love that bear patch! We love to call each other "bear" as a term of endearment so it is such a perfect addition to the card!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Supplies: Stamps - To the Moon, Plain Jane (Verve), DP/Embellishments - Rocket Age Collection (OA), Campy Trails Collection (American Crafts), Ink - Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Cardstock - Crumb Cake (SU!), Vintage Cream (PTI)

Glad Tidings

Happy Saturday, friends and welcome to another wonderful challenge over at Waltzingmouse! Today we have another spectacular sketch by DT member, Belinda - I love the three circles as the main focal point with this sketch and you can see by my card that I had couldn't just stick with three! When inking up those new doily stamps, it is hard to only stamp a few! :) I stamped the large doily with versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then stamped the smaller doilies in silver ink and thought they resembled snowflakes a bit on that shimmery navy paper. I grabbed a sentiment from Teeny Trees and cut a felt blossom then added a vintage button to finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Supplies: Stamps - Teeny Trees, Dainty Doilies (WMS), Cardstock (PTI), Felt (PTI), Ink - Versamark, Silver (Encore), Embossing Powder (SU!), Vintage button

Happy Birthday To Me (and a Giveaway!!)

Hi everyone! Today I've got a birthday card to share with you because it is my birthday! Though this card isn't actually for me, I couldn't post any other type of card today, right? :)

I used the new Confetti collection from American Crafts and my new Say it Loud stamps from Waltzingmouse to make the card. I layered two of the patterned papers from the collection together and finished the card with a journaling sticker that I stamped with the sentiment, a cupcake embellishment, and finished the card with a pretty satin ribbon.

Now for the fun stuff -

As I sit here today reflecting back on my now 41 years on this planet, I am overwhelmed by everything I have been blessed with and want to share a tiny piece of that with a lucky reader. I'm embarrassed by how many crafting supplies I have that haven't seen the light of day and gathered them together here - 30 sheets of scrapbooking papers from My Mind's Eye, an eyelet setter and small fabric flowers from Making Memories, blue baker's twine, mica flakes, a sheet of birthday-themed alphabet stickers, various stamps, and some fabric baggies. All you need to do to win this package is comment on this post by midnight Sunday night (7/10.) I will choose a winner and announce it here on the blog on Monday.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Supplies: Stamps - Say it Loud (WMS), DP/Embellishments (American Crafts), Cardstock - Pretty in Pink (SU!), Ink - Chocolate Chip (SU!), Ribbon (Kate's Paperie)

Just Because

Hello friends! I can't believe how this week is flying by! I had a wonderful holiday yesterday and my birthday is tomorrow! Oh, and stay tuned because I think I should celebrate my birthday by giving one of you lucky readers a present! ;)

I made this card for the Moxie Fab World Beautiful Borders challenge using my fab new Rubbernecker stamps! I've been dying to use this huge background stamp (4.25 x 5.5") since I got it and I had a brilliant idea to stamp the background three times in varying shades of blue, cut them into border strips, and reassemble on the front of the card. I finished with some shabby ribbon, a stamped tag, and a vintage button.
If you haven't seen yet, there is a little contest over on the Rubbernecker blog to come up with a clever nickname for the new design team! Head over and give us your best suggestions - the winner will take home a $25 gift certificate to the store! How cool is that?!

Supplies - Stamps (RN), Ink - Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Not Quite Navy (SU!), Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla (SU!), Ribbon (Memriemare), Button (vintage), Twine (PTI), Cuttlebug, Tag Die (Spellbinders)
