The Craft's Meow - New Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends!  Today is the new release blog hop day with The Craft's Meow!  I'm so happy you could join us today!  If you're here from Jean's blog, you're in the right place and if you've just stopped by, head over to the TCM blog to get started.
For this card, I used Golden Days and Vintage Clocks and I love how nicely they worked together!  I stamped one of the sentiments from Vintage clocks onto a die cut notebook page and layered that on top of some cork patterned paper stamped with a sentiment from Golden Days.  I then used the same ink layering technique I talked about earlier this week on those gorgeous leaves and tied the stems with some twine.  I love how they turned out!  And, if you love Golden Days as much as I do, it is the gift with a $50 purchase this month!

So, here is the scoop on the prizes - fun!  To be eligible to win all 6 new sets from TCM, you will need to visit & comment on each blog on the hop.  The deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Sunday, Sept 23rd.

Off you go to Jessica's blog for more inspiration!  Thank you so much for visiting today!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), DP (Studio Calico), Cardstock - Crumb Cake (SU!), Select White (PTI), Ink - Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Twine (The Twinery), Notebook Page Die (PTI)

The Craft's Meow - Day Four Previews!

This is my second post for today.  If you're looking for The Play Date Cafe color story, please scroll down.
Hello friends, and welcome to day four of the fabulous September release at The Craft's Meow!  I hope you've been enjoying what you've seen so far and there's just one more day until you can purchase them yourselves!  Yay!

Without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to "Good Times" by Kaitlyn Ord and wow, is this a fun set!  I stamped the big chevron image in embossing ink over a sheet of patterned paper and embossed it using white embossing powder.  I stamped two sentiments from the set onto the patterned paper and one inside one of the frames on a sheet of white cardstock.  I fussy cut that one out and taped it to the card using some washi tape.  I finished the card with a button, pin, and a bingo marker.

This second card features the new "Golden Days" set by Karen Baker and I just adore the leaves and sentiments in this one!  I stamped the sentiment and flourish from the set onto some patterned paper, wrapped it with some brown twine and adhered that onto a brown card base.  I then stamped the leaves in yellow ink and then the edges right into the red ink which gave the leaves the fun yellow centers.
Thanks so much for visiting today and don't forget to leave a comment back on the TCM blog for a chance to win the sets you see here today!  And, the big release blog hop is tomorrow so I'll see you back then!

Happy Birthday - PDCC 150

Hello friends!  Today is reveal day for a brand new color story at The Play Date Cafe!  I just adore these colors and can't wait to see what you create with them -
This week we have a fabulous sponsor, The Alley Way stamps, and the winner will get some of these wonderful stamps for their very own!  The set I used is called "Get the Point" and is full of fun banner images.  I decided to use two outline banners and the happy birthday banner on this card.  I started off with some gorgeous papers from Teresa Collins, stamped the banners on some coordinating papers, and finished the card with some twine, buttons, and some little cork butterflies.

I hope you get a chance to play along this week!  Thanks for visiting today!

The Craft's Meow - Day Three Previews!

Hello friends!  Today is day three of the new release countdown at The Craft's Meow and we've got two fun new sets to show you, "Fall Blessings" and "Fall with Fibi and Lilly" designed by Mabelle R-O!
This first card was designed with a sentiment and one of the little images from "Fall with Fibi and Lilly" and there are a ton more images (including two big ones of adorable little Fibi and Lilly) and several more images in the set that I know you will love!  I took the little candy corn, stamped it several times on white cardstock, colored them with my Copics, fussy cut them and then adhered them to the card base using some foam squares for dimension.  I stamped the sentiment using some silver ink.  Simple but definitely effective Halloween card!
For my tag, I used this adorable little bird image from "Fall Blessings" stamped onto a piece of patterned paper.  I stamped it again on a couple of other patterned papers to piece the pumpkin and the hat and collar of the bird.  I finished the tag with one of the sentiments from the set, some gems, and a little puff ball topping the little hat.

I hope you like what you've seen today and I know you will love the full reveals on the 21st!  Thanks for visiting today!

Card Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White (SU!), Copic Markers, Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Silver (Encore), foam squares

The Craft's Meow - Day One Previews!

Hello friends!  Today marks the beginning of another fabulous release from The Craft's Meow and we have a wonderful guest designer this month, Suzanne Bier!  I just know you are going to love the six new stamp sets that will be for sale in just a few short days!  Today we are previewing Vintage Clocks - a wonderful new set designed by Nina Brackett!
I just adore this little alarm clock (cuckoo and grandfather clock images are also part of the set) and stamped it a number of times onto a shipping tag tied with a piece of seam binding.  The 9 to 5 collection was the perfect accompaniment for my little card and I used some papers, buttons tied with twine, and a sticker on this card.  I finished the card with one of the sentiments from the set stamped in a die cut.

December 25th

Hello friends!  Today is Saturday and it is time for another wonderful sketch challenge at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!  I can't wait to see what you make using this beauty from DT member, Jennifer -
I hope you can see the sketch in my card - I was going for quadrants rather than four actual squares of something and I just love all of the Christmas elements!  I was packing up supplies for the move when I came across my Christmas box and couldn't resist playing with those fun papers!  I stamped the Santa from Santa's Coming to Town and cut it out using a postage stamp die.  I layered a tin pin, a December 25th journaling card, and some snowflakes and really like how this one turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be taking the next two Saturdays off for our move but will see you back in October!

Supplies:  Stamps (WMS), DP/Embellishments - Holiday Style collection (October Afternoon), Cardstock - Real Red (SU!), Die (Spellbinders), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI), Corner Chomper, Twine (Country Clean)

God Bless Your New Home

Hello friends, I hope you are having a wonderful Friday!  Things are moving fast and furiously with getting the new house ready for moving day next week and today is the last "to do" (well, there are a million but this is the last one that has to happen before we move in) - getting the new carpet installed!  I am so excited to see what it looks like and even more excited because my family is coming to visit on Saturday and I can't wait to show them the new place almost move-in ready!  Yay!

Anyway, enough of that for a while...today I have a card I made for this month's sketch challenge at The Craft's Meow!  I just adore this sketch from Nina B -
I  picked some coordinating patterned papers from October Afternoon for my background and the little pieced house from Love Dwells Here.  I adore this set and it is so timely with our move and the move my mom and step-dad made up to Oregon last month.  I am so excited for them and will be sending this card to them!

I hope you have a chance to play along with us this month!  The winner will receive a stamp set of their choice from TCM.  And, while using TCM stamps is not a requirement to play, if you are selected as the winner and you've used TCM stamps, you will receive 15% off another set of your choice from the store!  Fun!

Thanks for visiting today!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), DP - Woodland Park (OA), Tag (Etsy), Butterfly Punch (Martha Stewart), Cork (Paper Made Bakery), Ribbon (May Arts), Ink - Chocolate Chip (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI)

Hello friends!  Today is reveal day at The Play Date Cafe and we have a wonderful color story for you this week -
As soon as I saw this color combo, I immediately thought of the What's Up collection from Basic Grey.  I started off with a plum card base and layered one of the papers on top.  I stamped the little balloonist on top and then pieced the balloon with a coordinating paper from the collection.  I stamped the clouds and bird on the background and then used some Stickles on the clouds, added two brads, and finished the card with a chipboard banner.

God Bless You

Hello friends!  This week, The Craft's Meow is happy to sponsor the challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ based on Romans 3:23-24 and requires the use of bright colors.

The "bright colors only"challenge was a bit tough for me as I usually like to craft using kraft and other neutrals but I sure had fun getting out some of these fun papers from Basic Gray.  I started with a blue background and stamped the butterfly from Beautiful Spring using embossing ink and then embossed it with white powder.  I stamped the rose and leaves from the same set onto some coordinating papers and then pieced them and added them to the card.  It is hard to tell int he photo but the center of the rose was pieced separately and then popped up using foam squares.  I finished the card with a sentiment from God's Blessings.

I really liked the verse selection today and the story from Jerusha about her kids.  No matter how many times we "mess up", God is right there willing to forgive us if we ask Him.  What a blessing, indeed!

Thanks for visiting today!

Supplies:

Stamps (TCM), DP - Konnichiwa collection (Basic Gray), Pearl (Recollections), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Big and Bossy (Ranger), White Embossing Powder (SU!), Cardstock - Select White (PTI)

North Shore Summer

Happy Saturday, friends, and I hope you can play along with us this week at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!  Check out the sketch this week inspired by a card from Anya.  I can't wait to see what you create with this beauty -
For whatever reason, that sketch was pure summer to me and I knew I wanted to use my new North Shore set.  I inked up the big image using green and blue inks, stamped it and then cut it out using a circle die.  I layered the white circle on to some indigo cardstock for some pop.  I stamped a blue-green card base with the circle pattern from Free Spirit Boy in white ink.  I finished the card with some hibiscus from Free Spirit that I colored with some Copic markers.

We're winding down our time in our city apartment and getting ready to move into our new home and we're beside ourselves with excitement.  The paint is finished and the carpet will be installed next week.  We're doing a deep clean on the tile and are hoping everything is ready for the big day in a couple of weeks.  I will have new projects for you throughout the month but will be taking a little break toward the end when I have to pack up and then find my craft supplies after the move.  I'm still trying to figure out what to bring in my "Open First" box of supplies.  Tough call!  :)

Thanks for visiting today!

Supplies:  Stamps (WMS), Cardstock - Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Whisper White (SU!), Ink - Island Indigo, Pool Party, Craft White (SU!), Copic Markers, Dies (Spellbinders)

Thank You - PDCC 148

Hello friends!  Today is reveal day at The Play Date Cafe and I'm so excited about this week's color story!  Aren't these colors just dreamy?!
I remembered just the perfect paper from my August Studio Calico kit - it is a stone background with a navy text, cut a panel, and used it on a navy card base.  I tied some peach silk ribbon in a big bow around the panel and added a few gems for some twinkle.  I wanted to bring more of the gray in and so I cut a gray circle and stamped the sentiment in navy ink.  I finished the card with a few feathers for some za za zu.  I just love how this turned out!!

This week we have a special guest designer and prize provided by none other than Tami Mayberry!  The winner will receive "Lighthearted Wishes" so be sure to link up by Tuesday for a chance at this wonderful prize!

Thanks for visiting today!

Supplies:  Stamp (Rubbernecker), DP - Studio Calico Kit (August 2012), Cardstock - Night of Navy, Going Gray (SU!), Ink - Night of Navy (SU!), Gems (Prima), Feathers (Etsy), Cuttlebug, Dies (Spellbinders)

Paper Made Bakery - Old School Kit Blog Hop!

Hello friends!  Today is a special day because it is new kit reveal day at Paper Made Bakery!  The September kit, "Old School" is full of wonderful goodies to make retro projects, back to school projects, and any other type of projects your heart desires!

I started this card off using one of the burnt orange card bases and layered one of the papers from the Cosmo Cricket pad on top.  The cardstock has such a lovely texture, I had to leave some open space so the recipient could see and feel it.  Love it!!  I took the library card that's included in the kit, cut it in half, and stamped one of the sentiments from the Stay Tuned stamp set in coordinating ink.  I took the little tv die cut and backed it with some of the cork and added one of the orange brads as a knob.  I finished the card with some twine and one of the mini clothespins from the kit.  Fun stuff!!

Now for the fun stuff - a giveaway!  Head over to our Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win some of the cork you see here today, some Lawn Fawn goodness, and other fun surprises.  The giveaway will end 9/5 and the winner will be announced on the PMB blog on Wednesday 9/6!

Thanks so much for visiting today and here is the rest of the hop order:
