Love You - PDCC 167

Hello friends!  Today is reveal day at The Play Date Cafe and before I get too much further, I wanted to wish two of our departing designers, Stacy and Jocelyn the very best in their future creative endeavors!  I have loved working with you and will continue to be inspired by your creativity!

I have to admit to being kind of stumped at first but when I found that pretty pink paper, things just started coming together!  I layered the pink and green papers onto a yellow card base and then stamped the label.  I finished the card with some gorgeous pink ribbon in a huge bow.

I made this card with our 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event, too!  Can you believe it is day 5 already??  For those of you that may not have seen this yet, several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days - just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects. You will find links to all the other participating bloggers below. Hopefully you can find time to look at their blogs and leave comments on any that inspire you. Happy Valentine Crafting!!

My Heart

Welcome to Day 4 of The 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event. Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days - just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects.

For this project, I used one of my all time favorite stamp sets, My Heart from Waltzingmouse Stamps, and one of my all time favorite paper collections, Darling Dear from Studio Calico!  This project started when I eye-spied that fun ribbon peeking out of a bag I've recently unearthed from our move.  I just loved the folksy feeling of it and thought that the My Heart set would be perfect to build from.  I used a red card base, some red dotty paper, and the little doe journaling card.  I stamped the hearts onto some kraft cardstock and cut them out, popping up the lower heart for some dimension.  Such a fun card!

Thank you so much for visiting today and here are links to the other bloggers participating in the 7 Days project -

You Warm My Heart

Hello friends!  Today I've got a project to share with you for day 3 of the 7 Days of Valentine Projects Blog Event!  Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days - just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects.
Since it is my day on the Paper Made Bakery blog, I thought I'd share another project I made with the January, "Warms Your Heart" kit!  I used a couple of coordinating papers in a monochromatic color scheme and layered them on a blue card base.  I finished the card with a couple of stamped and cut out images from the stamp set in the kit and then added some glitter for the whipped cream topping on the cocoa!  Cute!

Today is officially my last day as a part of the PMB design team and here is a sneak of my final project.  I've loved every minute of my time on the team and am quite excited for the new team as well as some other crafty pursuits I hope to share with you in due time.  I hope you can head over to the blog to check out my final project!  Here's a sneak -

Several crafty bloggers and I are posting 1 Valentine project a day for 7 days - just for fun.  We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own Valentine craft projects.

This is another project I made using the Paper Made Bakery January kit.  I am in love with the little chipboard sentiments in the kit and for this one, I decided to cover them with chunky glitter!  I punched a few hearts from the papers in the mini deck and popped one up using some foam tape.  I finished off the card with some buttons and a little paper clip!

Thanks so much for visiting today and here are links to the others who are participating in this fun tour!

Thanks - PDCC 166

Hello friends!  Today is reveal day at The Play Date Cafe and this week, we have a wonderful SPLASH for you that uses emerald green!  How great is this inspiration photo?!

I started my project off with a little treat bag and then stamped a tag using some of my favorite Waltzingmouse Stamps!  I stamped the little label in black and then added the "thanks" sentiment in green and a few green rhinestones.  I finished the little bag by tying the top with some twine.  Simple but perfect for a little thank you!

I sure hope you can play along!  This week, we're sponsored by Viva Las Vegas Stamps and the winner will take home a wonderful prize donated by them!  Woo hooo!

And, thank YOU for visiting today!  Thanks to everyone for the wonderful anniversary wishes!  In spite of Glen being pretty darn sick and my not feeling well either, we had a wonderful weekend!  A perfect start to a wonderful year!

Supplies:  Treat Bag (Divine Twine), Stamps - Holiday Labels 14, Say it Loud (WMS), Cardstock (PTI), Ink - Garden Green, Basic Black (SU!), Sequins (Cartwrights), Dies (Spellbinders)

Great is Thy Faithfulness - TCM New Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends!  Today is new release day at The Craft's Meow and the DT is having a blog hop!  If you're here from Jean's blog, you're in the right spot!  If not, head over to the TCM blog to get started!
For my card, I used two of the new sets this release - Happy as a Lark, and Beautiful Hymns.  I was actually torn about which sets to use for this card since they all work together so wonderfully, but when I saw this hymn, I was hooked!  Such a beautiful sentiment!  I stamped one of the sentiments onto a decorative tag and the stamped and cut the lark out of some coordinating paper and finished the card with some crochet trim and some twine.

Now for the fun stuff!  Lark Additions is January's gift with $50 purchase and you are all eligible to win the entire new release!  Here's how - simply visit and comment on each blog on the hop before 9PM PT on Wednesday, Jan 23rd!  Very cool!

Thanks so much for visiting today and now, off you go to Jennifer's blog for more crafty goodness!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), DP/Tag - Bo Peep collection (Crate Paper), Ink - Basic Black, Crumb Cake (SU!), trim (my stash), Twine (PTI)

So Very Grateful - TCM Day 4 Previews!

Hello friends!  Welcome to day four of the new release previews at The Craft's Meow and today the DT is showcasing a fabulous set, Many Thanks, designed by Kaitlyn Ord!  I just love all of the thankful sentiments in this set and I know you will, too!!

Before I get into the details of my card, I wanted to share that today is Glen and my 6th wedding anniversary!  Happy anniversary, honey!  (okay, so he doesn't read my blog but I couldn't just gloss over such a special day!)  Of course, I'm scheduling this post in advance and I have a feeling we'll be out doing something fun.  We just found out that they're going to hold the Maverick surf competition in Half Moon Bay and we're toying with checking it out.  Anywhoo...  :)
Back to the business at hand...

There is a very cool set of three thank you words in the set that you can see I stamped on the cloud background paper.  It would be easy enough to cut them apart if you so choose, also.  After I stamped my background, I layered some grid vellum on top and tied the two panels together with twine.  I stamped a sticker label with another of the sentiments in the set and affixed it to the card, finishing the card with a cute little button magnet.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you're doing something fun on this long weekend!  Don't forget to leave a post back on the TCM blog for a chance to win this wonderful set!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), Cardstock/DP/Vellum/Sticker (Studio Calico), Twine (May Arts), Button (A Flair for Buttons), Ink - Basic Black (SU!)

Happy as a Lark - TCM Day 3 Previews!

Hello friends!  Today is the third day of release previews at The Craft's Meow and there are two new sets the DT is showcasing today designed by the fabulous Karen Baker - Happy as a Lark and Lark Additions!
I just love the woodgrain images from Happy as a Lark and chose the large one for the focal point of this card.  I stamped it on some cream linen cardstock in dark brown ink and then stamped the lark in lighter brown ink, cut it out, and popped it off of the background.  I finished the card with one of the sentiments from the set stamped in red ink.
I used Lark Additions for this little tag, stamping the woodgrain heart twice, cutting them out, and layering them atop a pink and white tag base I cut using Spellbinders dies.  I finished the tag with a sentiment from the set and some aqua twine and sequin accents.

Thanks so much for visiting today and don't forget to leave a comment on the TCM blog for a chance to win these sets for yourself!

Inspire - TCM Day 2 Previews!

Hello friends!  Today is the second day of release previews with The Craft's Meow and today we're showcasing another fun set from Nina B Designs called Crafty Shelf!  This set includes a number of crafty images including the little jars of thread spools I've used on this fun tag!
I started off with a kraft shipping tag, covered it with some patterned paper and then stamped the little jars and the sentiment banner onto some pretty fuchsia patterned paper.  I pieced the banner back together on the tag and adhered some black twine.  I finished the tag with a little green paper trim and a wonderful fuchsia silk ribbon.

Are you interested in winning this set for yourself?  If so, head over to the TCM blog and leave a comment for your chance!

Be Still My Soul - TCM Day 1 Previews!

Hello friends!  Today begins four fabulous days of previews of the new release at The Craft's Meow!  There are five wonderful new sets that will be available for purchase on the 21st and today the DT is showcasing Beautiful Hymns by Nina B Designs along with our amazing guest designer, Jennifer Ingle!
I've been having fun playing with older sets of patterned paper lately that I'm unearthing as I get my studio in order and I stumbled across one of my favorites, Story Teller from Crate Paper!  I layered two patterned papers and then stamped a label sticker with a wonderful sentiment from Beautiful Hymns.  I've been leaning on this lately and praying up a storm for peace about a few personal things.  It gets tough, sometimes, when things get crazy, to remember He is faithful.  But, He is!  :)  You will just love the sentiments in this set as you can see from what I've used and what the other DT members have used!  I finished the card with some embellishments from the collection and some twine.

Don't forget to leave a comment on the TCM blog today for your chance to win this set!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

Love Story - PDCC 165

Hello friends!  Today I have a card and the big reveal of this week's Play Date Cafe color story!  Woo hoo!  Aren't these colors delish?!
For my card, I started off with an old paper I located while cleaning out the craft studio this weekend and thought the rose and mustardy background would be perfect.  I found the Tim Holtz tickets, too, and then I had a theme going!  I've been pretty lovey dovey this week as the 17th (today!) is the 9 year anniversary of when I met my husband and the 20th is our 6th wedding anniversary!  My wedding ring even has 17 small diamonds around it so it is a pretty special number for us!  :)  Anyway, I stamped the gorgeous label and sentiment (both from Waltzingmouse Stamps) and cut it out using my Spellbinders.  I finished the card with a bit of seam binding and a couple of stick pins.
This card was also designed with the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party in mind!  Every 17th of the month, all WMS fans get together to share inspiration and ogle some wonderful creations!  Head over to the WMS blog to check it out!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Paper Made Bakery Sneak - Sweet Heart

Hello friends!  I'm sorry things have been quiet on the old blog lately but there have been some things going on at home and at work that have had me pretty busy lately.  I'm trying to keep up but seem to be hanging on by the ends of my fingers most of the time!

I do have a card to share over on the Paper Made Bakery blog today and I sure hope you can head over and check it out - it is one of my favorites lately.
Have a great day and I hope to catch up again with you all very soon!

Hope

Hello friends!  Today I have a card to share a card I made based on this month's sketch challenge at The Craft's Meow and the Sweet Dreams challenge at Moxie Fab world!  It has been forever and a day since I've had a chance to play along with Cath and crew and I was really looking forward to this one!  I was inspired by the colors of the Trigger photograph as well as the cozy, homey feeling of the photo!

One of my favorite TCM sets is "Love Dwells Here" and I stamped the house base, roof, and little wings, cut them out, assembled them and popped them off of the card.  I added a sentiment from "Hope Blooms" that really lifts my spirits!  I've been love, love, loving my Darling Dear papers from Studio Calico lately and the papers are from the mini deck.  I finished the card with some sequins and a bit of washi tape.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies:  Stamps (TCM), DP/Sequins/Washi (Studio Calico), Cardstock (PTI), Ink (Stampin' Up!)
