Hello friends and welcome to the New Year’s Celebration Event
brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew". We’re a group
of crafty friends who love being creative. This time we're doing a 1 day event
to provide you with tons of inspiration to ring in the New Year! We're making projects using products we like
and some of us are even offering prizes. Check each blog for which prizes are
being offered and when the winners will be announced on that blog. Be sure to click the links at the bottom of this post to visit each of the blogs.
Nothing says the holidays like quick and easy projects (at least for me this year with Amelia in tow…) and this one fit the bill just perfectly. I have a stash of replica vintage postcards and found this Happy New Year card, French style. I took the card and added sticky tape to the edges and covered it with gold glitter. I layered the card onto some vintage sheet music and adhered it to a slate card base. Turned out pretty cute, if I do say so… :)
Since I snoozed on offering a prize during the holiday hop, I'd like to offer one now. You'll have until 12/31 at midnight PT to comment here and I'll randomly post a winner on the 1st. You can say whatever you want but I'd love to hear about any holiday traditions you have with your family as we are eager to start ours with Amelia. Oh, the prize… the Moustaches set by My Cute Stamps!
Here is a photo of one tradition we've started with Amelia - sitting on Santa's lap!
Thank you so much for visiting and I'd love to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
She looks very cute sitting with Santa. For us a tradition is always playing Uno Attack after Christmas dinner as its the one game everyone can play( we have two disabled family members) and it guarantees hours of laughter and competition to at least try and win once.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful vintage card - love the glittery edge.
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage feel of this - that bit of sparkle is the perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card; perfect for New Year's inspiration! How exciting to begin new traditions with your little one; a time of excitement and joy! My favourite tradition: one gift opened on Christmas Eve...let the magic begin! Merry Christmas, Jen to you and your family!

Cute picture and lovely card. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is taking a day to shop with my sisters. We start out early in the morning and stay out the entire. We have a ton of fun, shopping, eating, laughing and talking.
ReplyDeleteI love your gorgeous vintage card, Jen, and baby Amelia looks so darn cute with Santa! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteWell, first of all, Jen, your Amelia steals the show! That is one calm and collected little person to sit on Santa's lap and not be freaked out by it! Your vintage New Year's card is so sweet and precious! Cheers! Darnell
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of your Christmas daughter there, Jen! Looove her outfit! :) Your card is super as well, the glitter border really does the trick, makes the image stand out so pretty. Very, very nice!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Wendy
