Be Happy - PDCC 157

Hello friends!  Today marks the beginning of a brand new color story with The Play Date Cafe!  I just have to say how blown away I am every single week seeing the amazing project inspiration out there!  If you haven't played along, I'd love to see you there!   Check out these amazing colors, "Plum, Fuchsia, Wisteria" -
Plum, Fuchsia, Wisteria
Now I am a self-professed paper nut but, believe me or not, I don't have much purple at all!  I knew I had some wonderful Teresa Collins papers but with the move, I wasn't sure I had discovered them yet so I cracked open a few boxes and found them!  Yay!  I started off with a fuchsia card base and layered the damask patterned paper on top.  I added coordinating gems and a chipboard sentiment frame and a little bit of baker's twine for good measure.  I do believe I added one of everything I had that was purple onto this card!  :)

In other news, we have a skunk!  Not a pet or anything but apparently one felt like taking a wee dip in our pool last night!  We thought we smelled something when we were watching tv and when Glen went out to check on it (I was inside claiming "no shoes"...), we found wet footprints all around the decking of the pool.  We've been having fun getting to know our wildlife neighbors being that we live next to open space now (the cutest little hummingbird couple, a frisky raccoon, an owl, and my little friend the lizard who lives in the rose garden) but this was a bit much.  Here's to hoping Mr. Skunk doesn't take a liking to our yard!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I sure hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!

Supplies:  DP/Gems/Chipboard Sticker - Fabrications: Canvas (Teresa Collins), Cardstock - Opulent Orchid (SU!), Twine (The Twinery)

  1. Your card is a beauty, Jen! Love the sentiment!!! And I also had fun reading your wildlife story! Gosh, to have all those animals in your garden, that does sound great!! I wish for you the skunk doesn't get too comfortable, and won't come in for more pool dips, hi hi. But the other animals sound great to have around!!
