Bonjour
Hello friends! Today is the start of a new challenge at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and we have a one layer card for you today! Sometimes what first appears simple, isn't at all! I wondered if poking a hole in the card violated the one layer rule but I'm thinking not since it really is subtracting a layer, right? :)
I knew right away I wanted to use French Country and whenever I think of that style, blue and yellow come immediately to mind. I started off by stamping the background and then punching out the window with a Label 25 die. I traced the opening so I knew where to stamp on the inside and then stamped the label and the sentiment with the fleur de lys on the interior using navy ink. I finished the card with some stickles and a bit of twine.
Thanks for visiting and I sure hope you have a chance to play along! If you don't yet own any Waltzingmouse Stamps, there are a lot of freebies in the store that you can play along with. Remember, one random (and lucky!) participant will win the stamp set of their choice and three will be crowned Top Mouse!
Supplies: Stamps (Waltzingmouse), Cardstock - Select White (PTI), Ink - YoYo Yellow, Night of Navy (SU!), Stickles, Twine (Country Clean), Labels 25 Die (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug

Love this card, Jen! This truly gives you the French feeling, the 'simple life' French feeling, of a small town, natural products, friendly villagers, stone house and farms, fruit trees... Hi hi, can you see the picture I'm seeing? Love it!!
