A Waltzingmouse Christmas - Day 2!

Hello friends and welcome to the second day of our Waltzingmouse Christmas event!  Head over to the WMS blog for the skinny!  Today's "theme" is Christmas cards and I know I can't wait to see what the other fabulous DT ladies created!  I'm certainly not making all of my cards this year but would love some inspiration for next!  :)

I decided to use the new Folk Art Christmas Additions and am just in love with the little bird in the set!  I stamped it twice in red ink and cut them out, popped them up on a sheet of birch tree patterned paper. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in gold (I realized, too late, that I should have embossed it so it would stand out more), and added a gold star clip.

Another gratuitous photo of Amelia :)
Thank you so much for visiting today and here are the other DT ladies sharing new projects!  Please take a moment to check out their creations -

  1. Woehoe, another card!! love the red birds on the branches card! Sooo pretty!!
    Hugs, Wendy

  2. such a cute combo. neat paper too.

  3. Love the bird in red... design just POPs!! The tree background is perfect!!

  4. Oooh I love the color combination here - the red just jumps off he page! Amelia is a doll - what does her shirt say? Cheeky Monkey? HAHA!! Love it!

  5. Love your bright red birds against the lovely birch paper Jen! such a great pop - and I think the sentiment looks pretty as a shadow there in the woods! Amelia's eyes are popping at the bright color of her toy there! She's growing so fast!

  6. I love this card Jen! It is so fresh and fun. I have not been to your blog in forever so I was surprised to see baby pics!!! Congrats, what a cutie.

  7. Cavities from the sweetness, cavities from the sweetness! From one sweet pic to another. Amelia is too adorable for words, and oh how I love those red birds sitting in the birch tree! Now I have a use for the birch embossing folder I purchased in the summer and have yet to use, ACK!

  8. Gorgeous!
Love those birds against the trees...
but I think I agree with Kelly about the sweetness and cavities from Amelia...
these are the best days or your life...
    enjoy! :)
