Spidey Sense

This card was inspired by the Cinema Saturday movie (drumroll, please...) "Spiderman" and Brooke and Sankari's challenge to use (another drumroll...) acetate! I love "Spiderman" - the reluctant superhero, love triangle, making a better life for family - all classic movie themes and so many ways to be inspired!

I've had a package of acetate for some time but haven't even cracked the seal! It was so inspiring to see all of the different ways people have used it for this challenge! Acetate isn't just for windows anymore (though that is what I chose to do for my card...)

I used a great hero sentiment from Verve and the traditional superhero colors of red, white, and blue. I'm just in love with the deco-ish circle stamp from Waltzingmouse and have used it all week. If you follow this blog a bit, be warned, I'm sure you will be seeing more of it, lol!

I cut out the center of the front of the card using a circle scallop nestie and cut out the slightly bigger scallop for the panel to cover the scallop cut-out (attached on the inside.) The red circle sentiment was stamped on the inside panel of the card.

Stamps - Waltzingmouse, Verve
Ink - SU!
Cardstock - SU!
Rhinestones - Hero Arts
Ribbon - Crafta
Acetate - PTI
Die Cuts - Cuttlebug, Nestabilities

  1. love the bling and sentiment...a perfect fit for this movie :)

  2. very pretty. love scalloped circle and the border on the bottom. the stamp is sooo pretty too!

  3. oh....i love your stamp...almost celtic! and the sentiment - perfectomundo. The color of blue you used is stunning...just like my son's spidey blankie!!!

  4. Lovely! Perfect use of the scallops and bling!

  5. Love that Waltzingmouse stamp -the use of red with that just makes it pop on your card. This is a beautiful card, yet so "spidey"! Great card!!

  7. Great movie card! I love this Victoriana circle (that's what Claire calls it!) great design with the acetate window!
