A Hug

Welcome to the Valentine’s Day Blog Hop brought to you by the Inspiration Crew. We're a group of crafty blog friends making projects we like, using products we like.  Some of us are also offering prizes!! Be sure to check out all the blogs for tons of crafty Valentine’s Day inspiration.  If you're here from Geri's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, there is a complete list of participants at the end of this post!
I had a lot of fun with this card, using a lot of elements from Pretty Little Studio's Monsieur collection.  I think it is perfect for a masculine card like this one!  I used some of the woodgrain paper as a background where I layered a journaling card and a printed ticket on top.  I stamped a label and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps and finished the card with some woolen ribbon and some buttons.

Thank you so much for visiting today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I just realized it has been a while since I shared a photo of our little bundle!  She will be 5 months next week and I can hardly believe it!  She has my whole heart… :)

A New Leaf

Hello friends!  Today I have something to share that is a bit of a departure for me yet something I'm really hoping I can get going this year - Project Life pages!  I've been a kit subscriber for a year now yet haven't really put much together.  It has been such a miracle year for us with little Amelia's arrival, I am bound and determined to document her life and our life with her!  :)

These are the first two pages I've ever done - yes, they need work! - but it is progress, right?

One question for all of you PLers out there, how do you get embellished cards in the albums?  These pages (Studio Calico - December Daily Kit) are tight!!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Sparkle and Shine

Hello friends!  Today I've got a card to share that I made using some brand new stamps from Neat and Tangled.  I just love the simplicity and whimsical nature of these stamps!  We've got a lot of new engagements in our circle of friends lately and I made this card to congratulate one of the happy couples!

I started off with a white card base and added some strips of silver printed washi tape to the bottom.  I stamped and embossed the diamond and the shimmer with Zing embossing powder, stamped the sentiment in black, and then added a few sequins for some more sparkle and shine!  :)

Thanks so much for visiting today and have a super day!

Mr and Mrs

Hello friends and Happy New Year!  I hope 2014 has been treating you well so far!  It has been busy for us as I'm back to work this week and Amelia started daycare!  It was hard at first but we're all adjusting and it has been nice shifting focus a bit during the days.

Anyway, on to the tag which is also featured at the Waltzingmouse Inspiration Blog today!  I started with a kraft shipping tag that I stamped with the leaf border stamp from one of my favorite sets, My Heart.  Our wedding anniversary is on the 20th of this month so I always feel a bit lovey-dovey this time of year!  If I knew what I was getting for Glen, I'd attach it for sure!  :)  I added a swatch of burlap to the tag and then stamped the open heart onto some white card stock.  I finished the tag with some spritz spray, ribbon, twine, and some stick pins.

Before I go, here's a photo of the little bug on her first day at daycare…such a happy little girl!  :)

Happy New Year!

Hello friends and happy new year!  First of all, I'd like to announce the winner of the stamp set from my giveaway during the New Year's blog event sponsored by the Inspiration Crew.  Drumroll, please… It is cm from Just Me: c.  Send me an email (jencuthbertson at gmail dot com) with your address and I'll get your stamps right out to you!  Thanks to everyone for your comments about your holiday traditions.  I loved to read them!  :)

We had a pretty quiet new year around here.  Amelia went to bed around 11:30 which was late for her to begin with, and we rang it in by jumping off of the sofa at midnight.  I really don't know where that started but my husband brought it to our marriage, lol!  We do it every year!

I've had a bit of crafty time lately and hope to share projects with you very soon!  This is one where I had some fun with some twine and embossing powder.

I go back to work on Monday and Amelia starts daycare.  In some ways, I'm looking forward to the change of scenery but I will miss our snuggle time greatly.

I wish all of you a very wonderful (if not late) start to the new year!
