Oh, Sense and Sensibility is one of my all time favorite movies! I've seen it countless times and love it every time and cry every time Edward declares his love for Elinor! Oh my goodness, who wouldn't want a love like that? I feel super thankful and lucky to say that I've been blessed with that kind of love!
So, the challenge this week was clean and simple and while I think I may have stumbled into territory a bit more complicated than "clean", this card was still pretty "simple" to make! I just got some great lace (which I thought was cloth but feels like it is made of fibers - strange but cool!) and thought it would be great for the period aspect. And, the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! fits just perfectly.

This is so beautiful! Fits perfectly with this movie!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet Jen - and I love your love of this movie! I had to watch that scene again - and it still gets me everytime... sigh... I love when the rest of the Dashwoods women all leave the room together when its just Edward and Elinor and how they peek from the treehouse... so lovely! And your card is just lovely! The lace is perfect and the flowers and vintagey feel is awesome! The sentiment is SO true!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with us Jen!!!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
What a darling:))
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card....love the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card with a lovely touch of plum! I love how even sensible Elinor gets her chance at romance too :)
ReplyDeleteI love the final scene as well.. You just want to reach in an let her know that it will be ok... Don't have a break down... Bless her heart... I love the sisters going up and down the ladder to get a peek then feeling guilty but not caring about that in the end... The true raw emotion of Emma Thompson is really amazing in this scene.
ReplyDeleteYou card is beautiful.. The sentiment is so sweet and the lace is a perfect detail...
