Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Today, Glen and I are off to visit my folks for a few days and we are really looking forward to catching up, laughing, and eating too much!

But before I head off, I wanted to share these two tags that I made for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! This is the first time I've had a chance to participate (why the week of Thanksgiving felt like the right time to start is beyond me!!) and I can't wait to see all of the rest of the gorgeous projects out there!
This month's challenge was to design a "holiday tag or two" and I'm excited to share these two jumbo tags with you! This first tag is a more traditional/vintage feeling tag using the Tree Trimming Trio set, distress inks, and some yummy lace and scrunchy ribbon. The card is finished off with a gold embossed sentiment and a cute jingle bell.

This next card has a more modern feel again featuring the big tree from the set, a glitter border, silver embossed sentiment and star. The tag is finished with a fun, tinsel hanger for extra sparkle!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today! I wish you and yours a very special Thanksgiving and hope you all have an abundance of love and joy to be thankful for today!

Supplies: Stamps - Tree Trimming Trio (PTI), Card Stock - Vintage Cream (PTI), Tags (my stash), Ink - Garden Green, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Versamark, Silver/Gold Embossing Powder (SU!), Glue Pen (Martha Stewart), Glitter (PTI), DP - Jovial Collection (Basic Gray), Snowflakes (Anna Griffin), Lace/Twine/Jingle Bell (Crafta), Ribbon (Etsy), Tinsel (Kate's Paperie)

Sweet Little Valentine

I am so happy to share an adorable Valentine card featuring a lovely image from Stampin' D'Amour's Vintage Children set! I partnered this adorable little girl with some Valentine-themed papers and a fun shabby ribbon!

Why Valentine's Day cards now? Well, let me tell you!! Operation Write Home is collecting cards to send to our troops overseas so they can write home to their loved ones. And Archway is matching sweets with sweets by sending boxes of cookies overseas, too! Pretty great cause and I'm happy to help by sending a box of Valentines this week! If you're looking for something to craft to take a break from holiday cards, consider some love-themed cards and send them over to OWH!

Supplies: Stamps - Vintage Children (SDA), DP - Be Loved (MME), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI), Die Cuts - Cuttlebug, Spellbinders, Ribbon (Etsy), Card Stock - Whisper White (SU!)

Moxie Chic

I loved the red ruffles in the Tuesday Trigger photo over on the Moxie Fab blog and immediately thought of this lovely Webster's Pages ribbon that I've had sitting around and never used! Something this pretty has to be seen so I got it out and played along!
I used this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch as inspiration, almost used the last bit of my absolutely fave Anna Griffin snowflake paper (I'm holding on to tiny scraps!!), and heat embossed that fabby label for what I think is a Moxie Chic holiday card!
Supplies: Stamps - Holiday Labels 14, Compliments of the Season (WMS), DP (Anna Griffin), Card Stock - Silver Shimmer, Select White (PTI), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder (SU!), Die Cuts - Cuttlebug, Labels 14 (Spellbinders), Ribbon (Webster's Pages), Foam Squares

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

I am so happy to share this project today that I made for the Embellish Magazine color challenge! Embellish challenges are fun because they require use of specific colors as well as another challenge like using felt or rick rack or... This time we had to embellish a bag using these colors:This challenge worked out perfectly because I had just purchased some adorable little bags from It's in the Bag for holiday decorating and the package came in the mail the day before I saw this challenge! Kismet? I think so!

When I saw the pink/grey, I immediately thought of snowflakes and an awesome Verve set I got last year. I embossed the snowflakes using silver embossing powder, cut them out and popped them off the bag, finishing them off with coordinating rhinestones. The bottom of the bag was trimmed with some fun silver tinsel.

Supplies: Bag (It's in the Bag), Stamps - Christmas in the Air (Verve), Card Stock - Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink (SU!), Ink - Versamark, Basic Black (SU!), Silver Embossing Powder (SU!), Tinsel (Kate's Paperie), Edge Punch (Fiskars), Rhinestones (K&Co), Foam Squares
