Today I have a fun, easy folding project to make a folded tag for a special package! Head over to The Kraft Journal for a great tutorial every Wednesday! And, if you have a great tutorial to share, let me know! We're looking for guest tutorial designers for the month of December!

I started with a 5.5 x 6" square piece of kraft cardstock scored at the 3" mark.
Trim one of the sides of the score line at 1".
Fold your tag in half.
Trim the corners off of the other side of the cardstock into a tag shape or any other decorative shape you like. I punched a hole in the tag and added some decorative reinforcer stickers. Once you have your tag base made, you can decorate it any way you'd like!
I stamped the interior of the tag with some Halloween images from Waltzingmouse Stamps and added some Stickles for a bit of shimmer. The "Boo" sentiment is another of the Salvage Stickers.
I hope you enjoyed this and will give it a try! It is a simple way to give your packages some pizazz this holiday season and for the rest of the year!

Supplies: Cardstock - Light Kraft (TKO), Stamps - Halloween Party (WMS), Stickers (Tim Holtz), Ribbon (MemrieMare), Stickles, Copic Markers, Hemp Twine (TKO) , Ink - Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Dusty Durango (SU!)

Happy Birthday, Wade!

I can hardly believe it but this Thursday is my little brother's 16th birthday! Now making "guy cards" is tough enough but how about a card for a teenager?! Yikes!

I ended up using a number of items from the Boarding Pass kit from October Afternoon thinking they weren't "girly" or too "little boy" and stamped the cablegram die cut with the "It's your day" sentiment from the Back in the Saddle set from Waltzingmouse. I think it works and hope he likes it!

16? Really? :)

Supplies: Stamps - Back in the Saddle (WMS), DP/Embellishments - Boarding Pass Collection (OA), Ink - Basic Black (SU!)

Merry Christmas!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I don't know about you but I've had a super busy week (training at work all week, trying to actually do work around it, meeting new friends (Wendy and Pim were here in San Francisco this week and we had so much hanging out with them, and I even got to stamp with a couple of WM ladies last Saturday!), and trying to get some crafty time in between it all. I am very much looking forward to some down time this weekend! :)

Today I've got a card I made for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge using this fabby sketch as inspiration! I've been having a lot of fun with round cards lately and this one was no exception!
I started with some fun new papers from Bo Bunny that I used for the background of the card and also to paper piece the poinsettia. I stamped the medium poinsettia twice and cut layers to pop up a bit. I then stamped and cut out the small poinsettia from the set to make the top layer and added some liquid pearls to the center.

I finished the card with a bitty banner with a holiday message and a coordinating decorative brad.

Supplies: Stamps - Say it Loud (Winter Holiday), Big Blooms - Poinsettia, Bitty Banners (WMS), DP/Embellishments - Father Christmas Collection (Bo Bunny), Cardstock - Select White (PTI), Dies (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug, foam tape, Liquid Pearls, Ink - Basic Black, Forest Foliage (SU!)

I first stamped the background with Rubbernecker's Dark Garden Panel stamp in Crumb Cake ink over cream cardstock, tied it with a shabby ribbon, and topped it with a vintage button. I then stamped the Happy Birthday Square in Chocolate Chip ink and layered it over a pretty blue patterned paper I cut out with a lacy square die.

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for this week's Kraft Journal challenge - Welcome Fall! And, since my dad's birthday is on Thursday, I made this card for him!

The card base is brown kraft cardstock which gives such a warm feeling to the card. A shipping tag was stamped with a big, birthday sentiment and the edges were distressed with ink for a soft touch. Decorative papers and coordinating stickers give it a fall look, and the card is finished with a wrap of hemp cord.

Link up by Sunday for a chance to be one of our Top Three of the week and to have a chance to win a Kraft Outlet gift certificate! All you need to do to play is to use kraft in some way and/or to use products purchased from the Kraft Outlet. If you haven't been by, I encourage you to check them out! There is a wonderful selection of products to choose from!

Supplies: Stamps - Say it Loud (WMS), DP/Stickers - Harvest Collection (Reminisce), Cardstock/Shipping Tag/Distress Ink/Hemp Cord (TKO), Ink - Chocolate Chip (SU!)

I created this fun scene using a background paper from Basic Gray and added a distressed balsa wood fence. I stamped some bats, the spider, and some jack-o-lanterns from the Halloween Party set, fussy cut all of them and added them to the card. I used some cotton fluff to mimic a spider web to add to the feel.

I can't wait to see what the rest of these talented crafters have up their sleeves this month! What a brilliant start to the holiday crafting season!

I took a couple of sheets of patterned paper from the Halloween in Wonderland collection, fussy cut the Alice figure from one and layered it over the spider web paper. I stamped and used black embossing powder on the spider and the sentiment to give it some texture and added a bow to finish it off.

Thanks So Much

Hi everyone! Today I'm happy to share this card with you - my first Tuesdays With the Team feature on the Rubbernecker Stamps blog since becoming a member of the design team! Head over to the blog to check it out!

I made this card using a number of stamps from the Opera Set, Watch Set 2, and the "thanks so much" sentiment and used the color palette from this week's Play Date Cafe challenge!
I started with a page from a vintage French book that I picked up at an estate sale, stamping it with the postmark and vintage automobile stamps from the Opera Set, adding photo corners to complete the vintage look, and adhering it to the card base. I then stamped the large pocket watch stamp onto some patterned paper, cut it out, and tied the sentiment tag to it. I used foam squares to pop both up from the card base.

I just love all of the vintage-inspired stamps that Rubbernecker has and think you will, too! Until the next time!

Supplies - Stamps (Rubbernecker), DP - Citrus Stack (DCWV), vintage book page, Ink - Chocolate Chip (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI), Twine (PTI), Cuttlebug, Tag Dies (Spellbinders), Photo Corners (Michael's), Cardstock - Night of Navy (SU!)

Life Happens Over Coffee

Hello friends! If it is Monday, it must be time for another challenge at The Kraft Journal! This week you can choose your challenge as all that is required is for you to follow a sketch and link it to your blog so we know what you did! I chose this cracker from the September Viva La Verve challenge (wk 1) and will be submitting it to them as well!
I was getting ready to cut a long card but realized I had a set of blank cards and envelopes I hardly use and used that base instead. I stamped the coffee "stain" from Verve's Better With You on the base using Distress inks, cut three rectangles from Light Kraft cardstock and a few circles from an old sheet of patterned paper. I tied each of the panels with baker's twine and added some stickles for a glittery touch.

Don't forget to link up your take on your favorite sketch by Sunday for a chance to win some great prizes, including gift certificates to The Kraft Outlet!!

Supplies: Cardstock - Light Kraft (TKO), Baker's Twine (TKO), Ink - Distress Inks (TKO), Riding Hood Red, Basic Black (SU!), Card/Envelope (Hero Arts), Stamps - Better With You (Verve), Stickles, Dies (Spellbinders), DP (DCWV), Cuttlebug, Distressting Tool (Zutter)

Live the Life You've Imagined

Hello friends! Today I have a fun card to share with you that I made for this month's Diva Dare challenge over on the Verve blog! The challenge is to create a "Sending Some Sunshine" theme and actually send the card to someone! Believe it or not, due to the tremendous number of cards I make, only a small fraction of them ever get mailed! I really want to change that and made this card with my sister in mind.

I think I need to send her some sunshine as she's been struggling a bit wondering where she "fits" lately and I'd love to encourage her to dream and just go for it. Easier to say than do sometimes for sure! I used my new Boarding Pass collection, stamping the sentiment from my new Words of Wisdom set (love it!!) on one of the chipboard stickers, and added some fun Tim Holtz tickets to the side.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Words of Wisdom (Verve), DP/Embellishments - Boarding Pass Collection (October Afternoon), Dream Tickets (Tim Holtz), Twine (The Kraft Outlet), Cardstock - Crumb Cake (SU!), Ink - Basic Black (SU!)

Vive Le Pari

Hello friends! Tonight I have a card to share with you that I made using a number of stamps from the Opera Set by Rubbernecker Stamps. I love all of the iconic images from this set and thought they'd make a great collage card.

I took a vintage dictionary page and stamped it with the postmark and chandelier stamps, adhered it to a kraft base and then added a fun Eiffel Tower tag tied with some airmail twine. I stamped a vintage-inspired ticket with the sentiment and stamped/fussy cut the car and added both to the card.

For more inspiration, head over to the Rubbernecker blog for our Tuesdays with the Team feature. I'll be the featured designer there next week so look for me! Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Opera Set (RN), vintage book page, Ink - Chocolate Chip, Basic Black (SU!), Tea Dye Duo (PTI), Vintage Ticket (Tim Holtz), Gypsy Tags (7 Gypsies), Cardstock (The Kraft Outlet), Twine (Divine Twine)

Go You

Hello friends! Today I have a wonderful card to share with you for this week's Kraft Journal Challenge 35 - Something Grand (in honor of Grandparent's Day). I used a number of great Kraft Outlet accessories to make this card - Film Strip Ribbon, Journaling Tickets, and Tea Dye Distress Ink.

My card was inspired by and is dedicated to my late Grandma Pearl. Grandma Pearl was born and raised during the depression and relocated from Minnesota to San Francisco during WWII where my dad was born. She was a no-nonsense kind of gal who didn't outwardly show much affection but we all knew how much she loved us. Grandma Pearl always encouraged me to be the best I could do in everything I undertook and was so proud of my career and the life I was building here. I wish she knew my husband (she passed a month before I met him) but I know she approves!

Link up before 6pm ET next Sunday for a chance to win some great prizes and to be selected one of our Top Three!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Stamps - Vintage Banners (WMS), DP - Boardwalk Collection (G45), Film Strip Ribbon, Distress Ink, Journaling Tickets (Tim Holtz), Ink - Basic Black, Riding Hood Red (SU!), Cardstock - Basic Black (SU!), Glitter Star (MemrieMare)

Home Sweet Home

Today I have a quick post to share the card I made for this week's Tuesday Trigger challenge over at Moxie Fab world! It was so great to play again after such a long absence and I love this photo inspiration!
This photo reminded me a lot of our bedroom - crisp white sheets/comforter cover and a dark wood bed. Even though vacations are great, sleeping in my own bed has been wonderful since we've been back the past few nights!

I used the browns and whites of the photo as well as a homey sentiment and added some ruffled trim and felt hearts to mimic the ruffles and appliques on the throw pillows.

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Sewing Box Hugs (WMS), DP - Cappella Collection (Basic Gray), Crochet Trim/Ribbon (The Ribbonerie), Felt (PTI), Ink/Cardstock - Chocolate Chip (SU!), Buttons (Daiso), Twine (PTI)

Trick or Treat

Hello friends! Today I've got a fun card to share with you that I made for this week's reveal over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! This fun sketch was drawn up by DT member, Anya -
I love the simplicity of this sketch and how many different ways the Mischief Makers took it! I love how we all have such fun and different styles!

When I got home from vacation this week, I had a big box with a ton of new CHA releases in it waiting for me and the Phantom Collection was in it. Even while on vacation, I was dreaming of making holiday cards as soon as I got home, lol!

I cut three strips from three different coordinating papers, and cut a lacey square from a fourth, stamped the decomposed fingers (how many blogs talk about those things?! lol!) image from Wanda's Pantry and stamped the sentiment and some bats for a more spooky touch.

Link up by next Friday for a chance to be Top Mouse and winning a stamp set of your very own!

Thanks for visiting!

Supplies: Stamps - Wanda's Pantry, Halloween Party, Gracie at Halloween (WMS), DP - Phantom Collection (Pink Paislee), Cardstock - Basic Black, Very Vanilla (SU!), Ink - Basic Black (SU!), Dies (Spellbinders)
